PPIAF aims to help government officials build the capacity to explore and implement reforms for improving and expanding infrastructure services. With its partners, PPIAF produces toolkits, online databases, and learning modules for this purpose—as well as workshops, field visits, exchange programs, and online training and distance learning events.

Urban Bus Toolkit: Global Training Program

Five training events are planned for 2007-08 around the Urban Bus Toolkit. Workshops have taken place in Morocco, the Philippines, and Colombia with two planned for Washington, DC. For more information send an email to ppiaf@ppiaf.org.

Public-Private Partnerships Municipal Guidelines: E-Learning Programme

An interactive learning guide on municipal public-private partnerships, along with two toolkits (on municipal public-private partnerships in solid waste management and in water and sanitation), has been developed for an accredited course for municipal officials.  Please click here to view the learning program.

Approaches to Private Participation in Water Services Toolkit: E-Learning Modules

New learning modules have been developed from the Approaches to Private Participation in Water Services Toolkit. These user-friendly modules provide advisors and policy makers with the information they need to make decisions while taking into account local circumstances and policy objectives.

The learning modules summarize key concepts from each of the toolkit's nine chapters. Supplementary information is provided for different levels of familiarity with the topics, so that readers may follow the story line according to their own learning needs. The toolkit was funded by PPIAF, the World Bank, and the Bank-Netherlands Water Partnership.
